Urgent Appointments

If you require an urgent appointment, please call: 01922 685858, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm. If there are same-day appointments available, we will be happy to book you in. If there are no appointments available, patients can use one of the local urgent health services via the link below.

If you feel the appointment you are offered is not soon enough, please tell the receptionist. We will always try to see you when time allows. However, if this is not possible, our reception team with direct you to other NHS services available. For further information, please see below

Routine Appointments

Non-urgent advice: Surgery Phone Lines

The surgery telephone lines are open from 8:00am to 6:30pm (Monday to Friday) for GP, nurse and other healthcare service appointments. Consultations can be booked up to two weeks in advance and are by appointment only​.

Please note the surgery doors will be closed from 1pm till 2.30pm on a Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs and Fri.

Surgery Extended opening hours (6.30pm – 7pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays) are available for patients who find it difficult to attend during normal surgery opening times.

Online Consultation Request

For patients aged 18yrs and over. You can complete an online consultation form to request general advice, help for a specific condition, or an administrative request such as requesting a fit note. You can also access self-help information; access local services get pharmacy advice or get advice from their GP.

Telephone Consultations

  • If you need to simply speak to a doctor or nurse, please request a telephone consultation by either phoning the surgery or completing a form online (insert link for accurx form)
  • When you call the surgery the receptionist will ask several questions, asking you why you want to speak to a clinician. This is so we can direct you to the appropriate clinician/service.
  • Please give your up-to-date contact number so we can ensure the doctors can return your call.

Please make sure you are available when the clinician calls.

Telephone Advice

We have very high number of calls on Mondays and after bank holidays.

Think about exactly what you want to say before making the call and try to be as brief as possible.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Home Visits

Please telephone 01922 685858 before 10am on the day you need a home visit.

We ask all patients if they can attend the surgery as Doctor can see approximately 4 patients in the time it takes for a visit.

Out Of Hours

Should you have a medical emergency and require a Doctor urgently Monday- Friday before 8am or after 6.30pm or at anytime over the weekend or bank holidays please telephone out of hours emergency number on 111. Calls to NHS 111 are free from landlines and mobile telephones.

For emergencies please call 999.

Walsall Manor Urgent Care Centre: Manor Hospital, Moat Road, WS1 1UG, open 24 hours, 7 days a week. No appointment needed 

Extra GP Appointments

Patients registered with a Walsall GP can benefit from the extended GP access service which are run by local GP’s at the following locations:

  • Pinfold Health Centre
  • Broadway Medical Centre.

Zero Tolerance Practice

We are a Zero tolerance practice and do not tolerate any form of verbal or physical abuse, bullying or any other form of intimidation. Any patient displaying behaviour of this nature towards staff, doctors or other patients, will be removed from the list with immediate effect, and if appropriate the matter will be reported to the police & the Black Country ICB.

Our Practice is disability friendly to wheelchair users, has an induction loop and doorbell for if you need assistance to gain entry to the surgery

Dentist

How do I access an NHS Dentist in an emergency out of hours?

Contact that practice directly for advice. If the practice is closed an answering machine message will provide details of how to access treatment urgent care.

Call NHS 111 for more advice and times.

Don’t contact your GP as they won’t be able to  offer emergency or out of hours dental care.

If you’re in pain while waiting to see a dentist, take painkillers. NHS 111 can also offer other self care advice
